Lüt’s Jennifer is a freelance stylist, wardrobe consultant, seamstress, personal shopper and overall straight shooter.
In addition to being head buyer and manager of the team at Lüt, her style services are also available outside the store allowing her to work one-on-one in long and short-term contracts.
Do you feel you have a million clothing items yet have nothing to wear? I can help organize and de-clutter your wardrobe while identifying gaps and creating new and exciting combos all in the comfort of your home. This can be done in a two or three hour consultation (as often as you need) or reviewed every 6 months as the seasons change. Consultations help you figure out what really works on your body and in your lifestyle now, while highlighting items that may be missing or items that need an update.
In most cases, your wardrobe can do more for you than it currently does. Sometimes you just need a fresh set of eyes to see new fun options. And investing in tailoring your clothing to fit you correctly can breathe new life into past favourite pieces. You just need a guiding and helping hand that knows fit, fabrication and proportions – and I also sew!
Even though this is my favourite sport, it is not for many people. Allow me to do the dirty work and bring items to you, discussing how they will work with your existing wardrobe, lifestyle and whether they have good cost-per-wear for you in the long term.
Love to shop? Then allow me to create the ultimate shopping list for you after our wardrobe consultation so you can go and get exactly what you need. No longer will you be distracted by that sales rack. Purchases to fill wardrobe gaps, not to kill time.
Base rate is $35 an hour for consultation and shopping. There are packages available, as well as gift certificates. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to start the ball rolling. I have four or five clients on my roster at any one time but can always make time for single two to three hours sessions if the roster is full.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Jennifer graduated from Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design in 2004. This intensive program allowed her creative development as a designer, pattern maker and seamstress while encouraging an excellent work ethic and fostering an inquiring imagination.
Upon graduation she immediately worked professionally within the industry; her career involved working in swimwear as a pattern maker and sample seamstress, in women’s wear as a fit technician and in men’s wear as both an assistant designer and production manager. Styling and helping people with wardrobe choices has been part of her life for as long as she and her family can remember.
She has styled and produced several fashion photo and video shoots including a fashion show launch party at Commodore Ballroom in 2008.
Jennifer has worked with (and continues to work with) single men and women looking for a refresher, moms excited to get back to work and busy professionals with no desire to shop. She has also styled the performers for Girls with Guitars, a platform for female singers/songwriters in Vancouver. She continues to work with singer-songwriter Lydia Hol and other Vancouver professionals.
